Rupertswood Station is located only a short distance on the DOWN side of Sunbury and was used exclusively for the purpose of transporting students to and from an adjacent private school. Only a couple of trains stopped at this station each day to coincide with the starting and finshing times of the school.
The station was closed in late 2004, with buses now serving the school transporting students from the nearby Sunbury Station. As part of the 2005 Refional Fast Rail project the DOWN platform and level crossing at the DOWN end of the station were removed.
The short UP platform and small waiting shelter still remain.
